Led by our board-certified naturopathic physician, Dr. Alexandra Porter, ND, our team is dedicated to providing holistic care. As a passionate registered nurse, I am committed to transforming disease care into comprehensive health care through the art and science of Nurse Coaching. At Fireside Medical, we are devoted to empowering patients throughout their health journey. Our services include telemedicine consultations, lab draws, preventative and acute care visits, and a comprehensive twelve-month wellness program. This was my first experience with virtual medical care and I’ve been so happy with my level of care! From nurse coaching with Nurse Tammy, which helped me work on some of my health goals, to video calls for naturopathic physician consulting, I have felt so cared for. My daughter and I were battling a bad cold recently and Dr. Porter always responded to my text messages and checked in on us – I loved not having to go drive to an office, wait to be seen, and not have good follow-up care, which is what I normally got from traditional medical care. Dr. Porter is a great educator also – she explained the care plan and the why. Could not be happier with our experience and will be using Fireside Medical for our family’s future health needs.

I’m Tammy, owner and REGISTERED NURSE at Fireside Medical. I founded the company to guide people in reaching health goals without compromising body balance. With 16 years of diverse nursing experience, including hospice company consulting, I am committed to holistic wellness. Transitioning from acute care to become a professional nurse coach, I blend nursing expertise with coaching principles to empower clients in all aspects of their lives.
Recognizing the need for comprehensive care, I brought on Dr. Alexan Porter, our medical director with 20 years of practice. Together, we founded the program, “12 Months to Wellness,” featuring monthly webinars, Q&As with Dr. Porter and myself, wellness lab draws/reviews, acute chronic and preventative telehealth visits, in-home assessments, and nurse coaching.
As the owner of Fireside, I offer personalized support for individuals facing health challenges, seeking personal or professional growth, or navigating relationships. With a focus on holistic well-being, my compassionate guidance facilitates breakthroughs and transformation.
